MILO contains ACTIV-GO®, Nestlé’s blend of malt extract, vitamins and minerals, and is designed to provide a nourishing and flavourful way to enjoy a malt-based drink as part of a balanced diet. Its distinctive combination of malt, milk and cocoa delivers a comforting chocolatey taste that can be enjoyed either hot or cold. Simply mix the powder with warm or cold milk or water according to preference to create a creamy, refreshing or warming beverage. With its familiar chocolate malt flavour and convenient powdered format, Nestlé MILO is suitable for breakfast, snack time or as a comforting drink at any time of the day.
Ingredients
PROTOMALT® malt extract (malt barley 18%, tapioca starch), skimmed milk powder (21%), sugar, fat-reduced cocoa powder (12%), palm oil, whey powder (milk), minerals (dicalcium phosphate, disodium phosphate, ferric pyrophosphate), vitamins (C, niacin, B6, riboflavin, D, B12).

Vitamins & Minerals
The MILO ACTIV-GO formulation is fortified with vitamins and minerals. Nestlé identifies vitamins including B2, B3 (niacin), B6, B12, C and D, together with minerals such as calcium, iron and phosphorus.
Preparation
- Add approximately 30g (about 6 heaped teaspoons) of MILO powder to a mug.
- Add 180ml of water.
- Stir thoroughly until dissolved.
- Enjoy hot or cold.
It can also be prepared with milk for a creamier drink; the exact preparation should follow the instructions on the individual pack. Nestlé's product information also describes MILO as suitable for preparation with hot or cold skimmed milk.
